Most patients will be familiar with prescriptions which are signed and issued by doctors which allow you to receive your medicines.
Two working days are required to process repeat prescriptions. Requests should either be made online or in writing, we are unable to accept telephone requests. If this proves difficult for you, please complete an exemption request form and return to the Dispensary.
We need the following information: Full name, Date of Birth, Address, Daytime Telephone Number and details of medication needed

The current charge for each item issued is £7.85.
Some people are entitled to free prescriptions. Examples include:
Check NHS form HC11 for full details, copies are also available from the Dispensary.
If you have to pay for prescriptions and need more than 5 items in 4 months or 14 in 12 months you could save money by buying a Pre-payment Certificate, download the application form FP95, copies are also available from the Dispensary.
The cost of a prepayment cert is £29.10 for 3 months and £104.00 for 12 months.
We now accept all major credit and debit cards (excluding American Express and Diners).
Collecting your medicine from the Surgery
The Practice can dispense medication to those patients who live more than a mile (as the crow flies) away from a chemist, this is mainly those living outside the Leighton Buzzard area. Unfortunately we are unable to offer a dispensing service to patients who live within a mile (as the crow flies) of a chemist
Our Dispensary is staffed by qualified Dispensers (Monday - Friday 8.30am - 12.30pm and 2.30pm - 5.30pm) who will be able to deal with any queries you may have about your medication. Dispensary also offer telephone appointments to deal with any queries you may have, please book through reception.
Prescriptions and dispensed medication may be collected from reception when the surgery is open. However if dispensary is closed, receptionists will not be able to deal with any medication queries.
Collecting your medicine from a chemist
All chemists in the town offer a collection service, which means you order your prescription from us then contact the chemist of your choice and ask them to collect two working days later, you then go directly to that chemist to collect the medication. Some chemists offer a daytime delivery service contact individual chemists for details.
